We want to remind everyone of our zero tolerance policy for referee abuse at 5v5 Soccer. As we aim to create a positive and fun tournament, it is crucial that we maintain a supportive sideline environment. While competition is part of the game, let's remember to be respectful and encouraging. Referees play a vital role in ensuring fair play, and we must treat them with respect.

Spectators, please give 5 yards from the sideline to allow players plenty of room to play. Players will be on either side of the 5v5 Soccer banner, parents on the opposite side. Referees will be enforcing these points to ensure a seamless event. Please help us keep this event run smoothly! Encourage your players to help clean up the sideline after each match to be good stewards of the fields.

By following these guidelines, we can create a safe and inclusive atmosphere for everyone involved. This should extend to how we treat all team supporters, coaches, staff members, players on both teams and our officials.


A FEW POINTS OF EMPHASIS ON THE 5V5 SOCCER RULES


Touchline (Sideline) Restarts: In place of throw-ins will be kick-ins OR a dribble in with the ball placed stationary on the touchline. A player may not directly kick a ball into the goal from its stationary restart position. A player may dribble the ball into play and after the ball makes a full rotation may then be kicked into the goal. Kick-ins will be treated as indirect kicks until dribbled.


Direct Restarts: A Corner Kick and Kickoff are Direct Kicks. The kick-off may go in any direction.


Goal Kick: Any time a Goal Kick is required, the goalkeeper will execute a Goal Clearance (ball must leave the Penalty Arc). The goalkeeper will start with the ball in their hands and may either (1) Throw or roll the ball, (2) Put the ball down and pass/kick, (3) put the ball down and dribble out of the Penalty Arc.


Once the ball has been put down, the ball is effectively “live”, meaning defending players may enter the penalty arc. The goalkeeper must release the ball within four seconds. Failure to execute the Goal Clearance within 4 seconds will result in an Indirect kick at the top of the arc for the opposition. A goal may not be scored directly from a goal clearance. Once the ball is OUTSIDE the Penalty Arc, a goal may be scored from anywhere on the field. The ball may not be punted or drop-kicked. Infractions will result in an Indirect Kick at the top of the arc for the opposition.

Welcome to the largest ever 5v5 Soccer National Championships! Tomorrow we honor and celebrate the 170 teams traveling from 25 states to come compete to be the 5v5 Soccer National Champions with our annual Parade of Teams from 9am-10am.

The parade will take place along 5v5 Soccer fields 2 and 4 (see map below), so PARENTS/SPECTATORS please line up along that path (facing fields 2 and 4). We will read each team name as the players parade around Field 1, 3, 4, and up back to field 2 so everyone can cheer their player on!

COACHES: Please help stage your players on the west side of Fields 1 and 3. We will arrange them by age groups, starting with the youngest and moving to the oldest. The team order doesn't matter, just be with your age groups. Think "southwest boarding positions"

Reminder, parking is available in either Omni lot for $10 per car (Normally priced $33 per vehicle). If you are driving in, feel free to park off site and carpool in! You will pay at the gate through the Omni Resort directly.

Thank you to the few teams who have completed their team rosters. This was due 11/15. Over 100 teams have still not completed this step.

Yes, Coaches are responsible for uploading proof of age and paying for player passes - $5 each times the number of players on the roster.

Please make this a priority as there are multiple processes after submission that have to be done manually to verify your players eligibility. If these are not completed in time this will effect players eligibility. We are working on a first in first out basis. Do not put your team in jeopardy by procratinating. I am extending the deadline to 11/22/2025.

OPENING CEREMONY: PARADE OF TEAMS - We are excited for the 2nd annual Parade of Teams. This is the opening ceremony at the 5v5 Soccer National Championships. This event will take place on the fields and teams will walk from one side of the field to the other with parents on the sidelines clapping on all participants. Teams are asked to all wear their jerseys for this event. Team check in will be at 8:30am with the Parade of Teams starting at 9am. All first-round games will start Saturday morning between 10am and 12pm.

The game will be presented by The Home Depot and will be broadcasted on TNT and HBO Max in English, Universo and Peacock in Spanish, and on the radio on the Westwood One Sports. The match is part of the team's preparations for World Cup qualifying at the end of 2026.
