Please read everything in this email. Make sure to provide this information to your parents or forward this email.

The initial Tournament schedules are now posted for the 5v5 Soccer tournament this weekend in Artesia, NM. Please know this is still subject to change - most schedules should stay basically the same but occasionally there are a few changes or last-minute updates. With that being said please remember DO NOT send screenshots of the schedule to your fans / teams /players / or parents or use them for yourself. Use only the live site, as the schedule is subject to change (screen shots do not update). The best way to see the schedule and follow your team is by downloading our free app 5v5soccer.

As a reminder, please ask your players to help keep the complex beautiful by throwing trash in the many available trash cans - they will be emptied throughout the day. If you can, bring some trash bags for your team to help keep your area clean. Thank you for helping keep your area clean of trash as well as the sidelines.

******If you ordered a tournament t-shirt in the player waiver process, please pick up at the tournament HQ, after your second game (this will allow coaches time to complete their teams check in process.

I recommend having all your parents and players download our app to follow your team(s) and to receive automatic schedule updates, messages, and all things important about the tournament. Our app is free on Apple or Android (5v5 Soccer).


Every team will play at least 4 games - only divisions with 4 / 7 teams (this tournament) will have playoff games (this means you may not see 4 scheduled games on your initial schedule) - Once your Pool play is completed - you will have to go to the button in the app called bracket to see the playoff games -for your division. All other divisions play round robin (this means you play each team in your division 1 time (6 team divisions will play 5 games). Once all scores are entered from pool play the names of teams will automatically fill into the bracket play - and you can see which teams advanced and when and where they play. (This does take some time)- Please don't rush over right after your 3rd game and start asking where you play - we will not immediately know the answer as we must input the scores and wait for the updates as well. You will place 1st, 2nd, 3rd and so on based on points (see rules for tie breakers).

1st, 2nd, & 3rd place will receive medals. These teams will qualify for the National Championship in Florida this November 2023. (this means you are invited to register and participate in the National event) Please visit www.5v5soccer.com for more info.

Make sure all your players have completed the online player waiver www.5v5soccer.com/waiver - (parents get a confirmation email once this is completed - so you can have this sent to you for verification) the online waiver will be checked against the official paper roster turned in 30 mins before your 1st game. If a player has not completed the online waiver but plays in a game or isn't on the official roster but plays - the game is then forfeited and scored 10-0 for the other team (there will be a short (very short) grace period for players to complete the online form onsite - the official roster cannot be changed once your 1st game has started. The max roster is 10 players - the 10 players on the roster that is turned in must stay the same for all the games. Another example would be If you have only 8 players but 2 more may show up late make sure they are on the roster before your 1st game, they cannot be added after your 1st game starts. However, you can start the day with 10 player roster but only have 8 players at the event – play 2 games with these 8 players and then for the last 2 games have the final 2 players show up and now have all 10 of your players – this is acceptable as long as they were on your official roster before your 1st game was played. Please only have 1 person from the team (coach or team manager turn in the official roster to keep the process moving at HQ).

Team roster (that needs to be printed and brought to check in completed) can be found at : www.5v5soccer.com/documents you can also find the rule here as well. If you want to avoid having to come to tournament HQ for check in, please email your completed roster to me Natalie@5v5soccer.com. make sure to have the team's name in division in the subject line. 1 Email / attached roster per team please. Make sure the team name / division playing in are filled in at the top, coaches' signature is at the bottom and all players are listed with their dates of birth. This is your official roster. You can add players until kick off of your 1st game. YOU are limited to a maximum of 10 players for 5v5 and maximum of 6 players for 3v3.

I have attached the field map. Tournament headquarters will be where the yellow circle is on the map. Fields 1B and 2B (Highschool divisions and adults) are located on the Baseball field. Field 1S (3V3) is located on the softball field.

Please let your soccer-playing friends know about the FUN and EXITING event and invite them to join us! It’s not too late!!!!

I will leave registration open thru Thursday 7/13 at 3 PM. All other divisions will still allow registration until the division is full. We will take teams on a first-come, first-served basis.

The schedule will be posted on www.5v5soccer.com LATE THURSDAY NIGHT. Once posted you can use our free app 5v5Soccer to see the schedule and currently the team list- we encourage all parents and coaches to download so everyone has access to game times / field location / and any changes or updates that may happen. ****It is a live schedule DO NOT screen shot the schedule as it is subject to change *****and screen shots will not update.

The tournament will be held at Mack Chase Athletic Complex 1200 W Gilchrist Ave. Artesia, NM 88210. A Field Map will be available late Friday evening. Please plan on a 7 am or 7:30 am start for most divisions. You will finish by 2 pm-ish or before depending on how many teams are in your division

Parent / Adult player responsibility: Every player will need to complete an online waiver form: www.5v5soccer.com/waiver

Coach / Team Manager responsibility: Every team will need to have a printed 5v5 Soccer Team Roster https://5v5soccer.com/documents (only Coach will need to sign this form after it is completed)

Only one person needs to bring the completed 5v5 Soccer Team Roster to Check-in Saturday morning 30 minutes before your first game. This is your Official Roster. Once you kick off for your 1st game you cannot make changes to this form (This must the one printed and turned in – using a different form or doing the roster online will not be accepted.)

FAQ
Q: Can I add or change a player(s) on my roster?
A: Yes, the roster is not final until the start of your first game. Please bring any roster changes to the team check-in, unless the change affects the division you are in, in which case you must notify me Immediately by text & email. All players must fill out the online waiver form and be on the paper roster you turn in at check-in.

Q: What is the uniform policy?
A: Players must be in like colors and shin guards are required. Goalies need to wear a contrasting color to both teams. Numbers are not required on jerseys.

Q: What do I need to bring to the check-in?
A: 1) 5v5 Roster (link above). 2) Verify that all players have filled out the online player waiver (link above). Easiest way to verify is to have each parent forward you the completion email once they have completed the waiver form.

Q: Can a player play on 2 teams?
A: Yes a player can play on 2 teams, as long as the player is not playing down in age, or playing on 2 teams in the same division and the schedule allows. For example, A Female player Born in 2012 can play in the 2011/2012 Boys division and play in the 2011/2012 G division. (This would not be considered the same division) However: A Female player born in 2012 could not play for a 2011 team in the 2011/2012G division and a 2012 team in the 2011/2012G division – that would be playing on 2 teams in the same division.
