Returning for 2025! – “Player of the Game” Bag Tags!
Again this year at ages U09-U12, we are providing all coaches of U09-U12 teams with Shakopee Cup “player of the game” bag tags. We ask coaches to present them to members of their own team after their match. Managers or coaches can pick up their player of the game cards at the nearby field marshal tents near the location where your first game is played.

Participation Medals
Medals will be awarded to all U09-U10 teams. These will be available near the big tent at Shakopee High School, or at the 17th Avenue Headquarters. These can be picked up Sunday, or any time after noon on Saturday.

Weather
We again are hoping to have great weather. We use The Lightning Tracker App and Accuweather for any lightning monitoring. Communications will be sent out through exposure and pinned above the schedule. If deemed necessary, referees may delay, pause, postpone games for safety prior to tournament committee. Please cooperate.

Field Maps
At Shakopee, if you are at the wrong field, you are never too far away from the correct field.

Our all city map and all tournament maps can be found here:
https://www.shakopeesoccer.com/page/show/1199758-tournament-field-maps

Parking and Traffic
Parking at 17th Avenue will get crowded. Be sure to utilize Sun Path Elementary’ s parking lot as an alternative. Utilizing the Marshall Road exit to go to Sun Path may alleviate some backups on 17th Avenue.

Shakopee High School – Parking at the high school could get crowded during parts of the weekend due to other events, we will have golf cart people movers to help those parked further away.

We do not allow exiting out of the east entrance. Proceed to the west and north exits when leaving.

If you have any questions, please email dandietzel@shakopeesoccer.com for assistance.

Player of the Game Cards
As part of our commitment to making the weekend fun and memorable for players, each team in the U9–U12 age groups will receive six "Player of the Game" cards to hand out during the tournament. These are meant to be given by the coach to their own team—one after each game, or as you see fit—to recognize effort, sportsmanship, or standout play.

Pick-Up: Coaches or team managers can pick up their team’s packet of Player of the Game cards (6 per team) prior to their first game of the weekend at the a nearby Field Marshal tent before your first game. The field marshal tents are located near the fields you'll be playing your first match on.

We encourage you to use these as a fun way to celebrate and motivate your players throughout the weekend. Whether your team plays three or four games, the extra cards can be used for multiple recipients in one game or saved as bonus recognition!.
