Please log back in to your account and take one last look at your roster to ensure it's complete.

If you see an unsigned waiver for a team member (list attached) encourage them to get it signed online. We will have a minimum number of hard copies availalble at the registration tent for guardians to sign.

We will run a roster check before first games. Any player not on a roster or missing a waiver will be ruled ineligible.

We are looking really good for tomorrow!

A couple of quick updates.

Schedule Updates

We did make a few schedule changes. It only impacted a handful of teams but please make sure to double check the schedule for your team to make sure you have the right game times.

The schedule is now FINAL, so no more changes will be made.

Regarding bracket play, if your group has one, those will populate as the standings populate after the last game of group play.

Waivers/Rosters

Rosters will be printed off this evening. Please make any final changes to roster this evening. Field Marshalls will do a roster check before first game, anybody not on your official roster today will be ineligible to play tomorrow.

Waivers. Great job with the waivers! We only have about 20 outstanding waivers needed. We'll provide a list later today by name of any outstanding waivers for coaches.

Check In/Registration

So long as your online waivers for your roster are complete just one coach or representative from your team needs to stop by the check in booth.

ADA Access

We will have a limited number of shuttles available for ADA access to and from the parking lot. We know it's a bit of a walk and you'll have tents, coolers, etc. but please understand these carts are for ADA purposes only.

Tents

Tents are allowed but must be 10x10 or less and are restricted to tent alley.

Field Locations

We made a few slight field changes. Please refer to the attached map for reference.

Existing Goals

Galaxy Soccer Club was gracious enough to host us again this year. They do have existing larger fields in place. We ask kindly to stay out of those goal areas. No playing or shooting on the goals. Help us return the fields to Galaxy in the shape we found them so we can keep coming back!

We are moving along nicely. A few updates.

Scheduling

Thank you for everybody for your feedback on divisions. We made some adjustments and feel really good about where it landed. As a reminder, we do our best, a lot of research goes into creating the most competitive matchups that we can, inevitably there will be some lopsided results, there are in every tournament. Just remember the spirit of our event and let's make sure to exhibit great character out there, that was the Gianna Lamb way!

We are working on the scheduling now. It usually takes a few days to work it all out. We set the expectation that schedules will be out on Friday. We are shooting for Thursday since we are moving along nicely.

Waivers/Check In

All waivers must be completed online. If you have not yet, you should have received another reminder a bit ago from the Exposure Events system.

We do have some teams that are missing players on their roster and/or emails for players. Please make sure to update your roster and have all waivers signed by Friday. If you need help adding players, simply log back in to the registration page using the account information you created and then you will have the ability to add players from your admin dashboard.

We ask you to review for any glaring mistakes/edits and share your feedback. We reserve the right to make the final call on divisions so that we can start to build out the schedule in a timely manner.

As mentioned previously, we had a few divisions where we consolidated teams. Middle school and younger boys. If you are in those divisions, we will still crown 2 champions per division based on your original division (8/7, 7/6, 4/3 and 3/2) to the highest finishing team from the original divisions.

From all of us at Goals for Gianna, thank you so much for your participation.

Registration is now closed and we have begun the process of building divisions, brackets and our schedule. Here's a few things to expect.

Spirit

What sets Goals for Gianna apart from most soccer tournaments is the spirit of the event. Remember, we are coming together as a soccer loving community to honor the life of Gianna and raise money for local charity.

That doesn't mean the soccer won't be competitive. It will, just like Gianna would have wanted!

But like Gianna, the spirit of the event is about fun and bringing people together. We have a zero tolerance policy for any confrontation between players, coaches, parents or refs. Any individual found to violate the spirit of our event will result in the ejection of the individual's entire associated team from the event.

So many people have told us this is the best soccer tournament they had ever been too. "The vibe was great." It certainly is, let's all do our part to keep it that way!

Divisions

This is the most challenging part of organizing a tournament. In a perfect world, we'd have 5-8 teams sign up at every age group. It's never perfect however.

Some groups have way more teams than that. Some have less.

The large groups we'll split into two divisions. If you are in a larger group we'll take the information you provided about competitive level to create the divisions.

The smaller groups we'll likely combine age groups. If you are in one of these groups the goal is to create a division that gives all kids 3 games. However, when it comes to crowning champions we'll crown by original divisions. Example, we combine 6th-8th to make a middle school division. However, we crown 2 champions. The winner of the group and the highest placing younger team (6/7th in this example).

We are going to do our absolute best given the information we received to balance the groups. It's never perfect, but please keep in mind the spirit of the event and give us some grace!

With that said, we are going to distribute a divisional draft for review. What we are looking for is any major misses on our part.

Roster and Waivers

All rostering and waivers need to be completed online.

Since you will have completed your waivers online all you need to do is have one representative from your team stop by the registration tent and check in on Saturday morning before your first game.

If you haven't rostered your team yet, you can do so by logging back in to the registration link, from there you can add players to your roster. The email associated with the contact will then receive an email with the waiver to sign.

Great news is that a good majority of waivers have already been signed! Great work!
