GM Everyone,

1. Being this is Florida in July, please bring rain gear and umbrellas. Should there be lightning, we will suspend play, PLEASE GO IMMEDIATELY TO YOUR CARS and wait for an ALL CLEAR EMAIL.


2. Please come to Headquarters at the WFF concession stand when you arrive to check-in so we know you are here and to give us your Team Waiver.

3. The referees will have the coaches sign the game cards after each game and enter the score on their phones so you will receive updates during the day on the 5v5 soccer app.

We NEED the Winning coach to IMMEDIATELY bring the game card over to me at Headquarters so I can verify the score was entered correctly. If the game ends in a tie, please have one coach volunteer to Immediately bring it to me.

4. Please be at your field 10 minutes before your game so we can start on time.
There are no warmups, the games start on. time.

5. Please clean up bottles and other trash after each game on both the players and parents sides.

6. Some divisions have playoffs, others don't. DO NOT LEAVE UNTIL YOU HAVE PLAYED 4 games and come to see me before you leave so you don't miss a game!

Dear Parents, Coaches and Players,

We want to remind everyone of our Zero Tolerance Policy for Referee Abuse at all 5v5 Soccer events. As we aim to create a positive and fun summer tournament, it is crucial that we maintain a supportive sideline environment by Parents and Coaches. While competition is part of the game, let's remember to only be respectful and encouraging.

Referees play a vital role in ensuring fair play, and we must treat them with respect. Please remember to:

- Encourage positive behavior
- Cheer and support without aggression
- Communicate with respect
- Focus on player development

By following these easy to implement requests, we can create a safe and inclusive atmosphere for everyone involved. This should extend to how we treat all team supporters, coaches, staff members, and players on both teams.

Please forward this email to everyone associated with your team who will be at or on the fields so they are aware of this policy.

To be clear, every Coach is responsible for the behavior and conduct of themself, Assistant Coach(es), their players and parents.

Consequences for violating this Zero Tolerance Policy:

Should any parent, player or coach violate this policy, the offending Team's Coach will receive a caution and will be shown the Yellow Card.

Receiving a second (2nd) caution for any violation of this policy by parent, player or coach in the same game, the offending Team's Coach will again be shown the Yellow Card, followed by the Red Card and be sent off. As you may know, receiving 2 Yellow Cards in one game leads to a Red Card. Should there not be a second coach available to care for the Team, a parent may step in to complete that game.

Any cursing at the referee will lead to the immediate send off of the offending Team's Coach. No Yellow Card for cursing; Straight Red Card.

The Tournament Director will be asked to review the incident(s) that led to the sending off of the Coach and will administer consequences on a case-by-case basis.

Players will continue to receive cards on the field of competition per IFAB Laws of the Game and this policy.

Should anyone have a question or require clarification on this policy, please see me at check-in on Saturday.

I would like to thank you for registering for this Saturday's July 8 event. All of the player's receive a ticket to the Rowdies' game at Al Lang Stadium against the Oakland Roots SC at 7:30 pm.

6. With all of Saturday traffic in that area, please allow yourself enough time to be at your field 30 minutes before your first game and 10 minutes before the rest of your games to ensure they start and end on time and we stay on schedule.

Regular Registration for the Tampa Bay Rowdies 5v5 ends on Sunday, July 2. We are nearing 100+ teams in this event, so we are going to need to add a secondary set of fields at Countryside Sports Plex just down the street. If you have two+ teams, we will keep those brackets at the same complex to avoid issues.

Teams still needing to register need to get registered ASAP as we will hard cap the tournament at 120 teams. The team list online is just applied teams, NOT brackets. We will begin bracketing on Monday, July 3rd.
