Dear Coaches and Teams,

The tournament schedules are now posted for the 5v5 Mobile, AL Soccer tournament this weekend. You can view them at this link:

Please review the schedule to ensure you are in the correct division and that there are no conflicts with your bracket(s). Schedules are subject to change, so be sure to check back on Friday evening.

Please check in your team at the tournament headquarters tent 30 minutes prior to your first game. Remember to bring any roster changes, as this will be your last opportunity to make changes. Also, make sure to have a photo or copy of proof of age. Only one representative from each team needs to attend the check-in.

You are welcome to email me all the forms for a non-contact check-in. Make sure to send 1 email per team, for the subject put the team’s name exactly like they are registered with the division they are playing. Make sure to sign the bottom of the roster form. Although proof of age won’t be examined at check-in, please keep the cards/certificates with you in case of a challenge.

5v5 Soccer Staff

Games are suspended as of 1pm due to lightning within 5 miles of the facility. We are looking at least 30 minutes before we can restart if no more lightning. Coaches need to check with the Tournament director at 130 for latest update. Games will be played but may be delayed

Tournament t-shirts are ready for pick up at the check-in tent if you purchased a tournament t-shirt online with your player waiver. Thanks.

Here is the field map with field numbers. Fields are labeled 1 thru 8 and will also have field numbers attached to the backs of the goals.

Please note the entrances to the fields in red. HQ/Check-in tent will be located just past the entrance between fields 3 and 5. Restrooms and Concession stand are located behind fields 2 and 4 as indicated on the field map.

Jefe's Paletas will be running concessions during the event! We are also working on getting some food trucks for the event! Will post that info as they are confirmed.

Schedule changes have been posted to the website and are final. There was a division change for the 2013/14 Boys_Girls division. These are now two separate divisions (2013/14 Boys and 2013/14 Girls). Please ensure you check your schedule and inform your parents/players as there were changes for all divisions. Here is the link to the schedule:

Cheer and support without aggression

Focus on player development

By following these guidelines, we can create a safe and inclusive atmosphere for everyone involved. This should extend to how we treat all team supporters, coaches, staff members, players on both teams and our officials.

Please review the FAQ list below and check the team list posted online at www.5v5soccer.com for accuracy. Ensure you are in the correct division and email me with any corrections. Please note that some divisions have been combined.

We currently have a few “Open Slots” (2 or 3 team brackets). If you know anyone interested in filling these slots, please have them contact me as soon as possible. We will fill slots on a first-come, first-served basis.

The schedule will be posted on www.5v5soccer.com by Thursday at 8:00 PM. Sometimes, it may be necessary to combine divisions. For an explanation of our grouping procedure, visit: www.5v5soccer.com/divisions.

The tournament will be held at the Mobile County Soccer Complex located at 3701 Halls Mill Road Mobile, AL, 36693 .

FAQ
Q: Can I add or change a player(s) on my roster?
A: Yes, the roster is not final until the start of your first game. Please bring any roster changes to the team check-in, unless the change affects the division you are in, in which case you must notify me by e-mail. All players must fill out the online waiver form and be on the paper roster you turn in at check-in.

Q: What is the uniform policy?
A: Players must be in like colors and shin guards are required.

Q: What do I need to bring to the check-in?
A: 1) 5v5 Roster (link above). 2) Verify that all players have filled out the online player waiver (link above)

Q: What if I want to register a co-ed team?
A: We are happy to have co-ed teams. We will create co-ed divisions when we have a sufficient number in any age group. If we do not have enough, they will play in a male division.

Teams will be grouped into divisions based on birth year and skill level. Brackets may be combined by teams +/- 1 year and/or skill level to make the most competitive brackets possible.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
Game Format
►All teams play a minimum of 4 games.
►Divisions with 3, 5, or 6 teams play round-robin; 1st place is determined by points.
►4-team divisions have 3 pool games and a final playoff.
