Hi Everyone,

I just received word the due to the heavy rain this afternoon from normal area thunderstorms, the fields are under water and Marco Island Parks and Rec has closed the fields for tomorrow and Sunday.

I would like to offer that we have our August 24 5v5 with Naples United that we would transfer your registration to so you all still get to play.

Pleass talk to your parents and ask if the August 24 event works for you.

Kindly let me know by noon Monday if it does work for you. If not, we will issue you a refund.

We are monitoring the storm as it moves towards Florida.

What we just read says the State of Emergency goes into effect Saturday night through Monday morning.

Our plan is to play so long as there is no lightning.

Marco Island Parks and Rec has the final say, as it is their park.

For those of you who have recently joined us, I would like to WELCOME and THANK YOU for registering for our Marco Island 5v5 Soccer Tournament this Saturday!

My name is Neal Rickmers and I have been your Tournament Scheduler and will be your Saturday On-Site Director. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at neal@5v5soccer.com or 813.335.2736 (Text Preferred) and I will reply as soon as possible.

All teams will play a minimum of 4 games.

3 team divisions play round robin where each team plays each other 2 times. Divisions with 3, 5, 6, or 9 teams will play round robin and 1st Place will be determined by most points.

If you are in a 4or 8 team division, you will have 3 pool games and then playoffs.

Any team placing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd will qualify for Nationals held in LAKEWOOD RANCH, Florida this November 30 and December 1, 2024.

I have tried to accomodate ALL of the requests, especially those driving from far away places. : )

To see where and when you are playing, please download the 5v5 Soccer app from your App Store, then go to August 3, 2024 5v5 Marco Island, FL and then click Schedule, the middle icon. You can then select Divisions or Teams on the bottom to see your schedule.

OR go to our 5v5soccer.com website, scroll to the August 3 Marco Island event and click the Schedule tab on the top of the page. Then look for you division and team.

REMINDERS:

1. Have FUN!!

2. Every player's parent will need to fill out an online waiver form:

3. Every team will need to have a printed 5v5 Soccer Team Roster that the player's parents will sign:

4. Please bring one completed 5v5 Soccer Team Roster to Check-In at least 30 minutes before your FIRST GAME or email or text a picture of them to neal@5v5soccer.com. Only one person needs to bring the forms early to check-in.

5. Please review the rules of the format you are playing as 5v5 has some unique differences to them from full-sided soccer. Please go to 5v5soccer.com/documents then forward the appropriate 5v5 rules to your players and parents so everyone knows how to play this excitingly, fast game.

With all of Saturday traffic in the area, please allow yourself enough time to be at your field 30 minutes before your first game and 10 minutes before the rest of your games to ensure they start and end on time and we stay on schedule.
