Hi Everyone,
I would like to share a soccer book I've written called: "Money Grab $$: A Parents' Guide to American Youth Soccer" It has gotten as high as #3 on Amazon in the Soccer Coaching category.
If you've every wanted a map or guide to know what you will face as a parent new to Recreational Soccer, Competitive, or your player wants to play in college or even become a pro, or adult soccer, this book covers the entire player development lifecycle.
Having lived through the last 50 years of American youth soccer history as a player, Coach, Referee, Professional Goalkeeper in the original Major Indoor Soccer League, College Head Coach, and High School Head Coach, I saw Pele come to play in America and more. Just like Messi came to America to everyone's delight! We didn't even have Club Soccer. High School was all there was available!
This book also teaches you all of the FUNdamental skills a player needs to be successful at any age, how to play as a team and what costs are associated with soccer make sense to spend on and those that don't. Here is the book's link on amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/Money-Grab-Parents-American-Soccer-ebook/dp/B0B9T79LMG/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&dib_tag=se&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.cC-81Vgh1tXEOzM0RjbiWXiE3-hSyhN2Y5bUJRdVdUT-tZG9s1eITmc2gKK67FUwpfhwVNywdwHFjxDW1Twj_DvpJGoVFZODrArPhwuxwUtzjnzCr8_jQXafI0ObCGDhOVjwL6oMJUUJjO31oyy9kfq8DklMjfH2Ej10LazYHRP4PGJ-e0FUbOpWQ6bzAV25aLYZAGG-pVKgBrTW8GCgrw.gmsrv_o53KfcssVmBjILfarAVJT7L5rK8CfQ6X82hWo&qid=1710632762&sr=8-1
Should you be interested in learning more, I will have copies available at the field tomorrow.
Please share this with your Parents, Coaches, and Players. Thank you and see you soon!
Neal
Dear Parents, Coaches, and Players,
We want to remind everyone of our Zero Tolerance Policy for Referee Abuse at all 5v5 Soccer events.
As we aim to create a positive and fun 5v5 tournament, it is crucial that we maintain a supportive sideline environment by Parents and Coaches. While competition is part of the game, let's remember to only be respectful and encouraging. Referees play a vital role in ensuring fair play, and we must treat them with respect.
Please remember to:
- Encourage positive behavior
- Cheer and support without aggression
- Communicate with respect
- Focus on player development
By following these easy to implement requests, we can create a safe and inclusive atmosphere for everyone involved. This should extend to how we treat all team supporters, coaches, staff members, and players on both teams. Please forward this email to everyone associated with your team who will be at or on the fields so they are aware of this policy.
To be clear, every Coach is responsible for their behavior and conduct and those of their Assistant Coach(es), players and parents. Consequences for violating this Zero Tolerance Policy:
- Should any parent, player or coach violate this policy, the offending Team's Coach will receive a caution and will be shown the Yellow Card.
- Receiving a second (2nd) caution for any violation of this policy by parent, player or coach in the same game, the offending Team's Coach will again be shown the Yellow Card, followed by the Red Card and be sent off.
As you now know, receiving 2 Yellow Cards in one game leads to a Red Card. Should there not be a second coach available to care for the Team, a parent may step in to complete that game.
- Any cursing at the referee will lead to the immediate send off of the offending Team's Coach. No Yellow Card for cursing; Straight Red Card.
- The Tournament Director will review the incident(s) that led to the sending off of the Coach and will administer consequences on a case-by-case basis.
- Players will continue to receive cards on the field of competition per IFAB Laws of the Game and this policy. Should anyone have a question or require clarification on this policy, please see me at check-in on Sunday.
THANK YOU for your cooperation in making 5v5 Soccer a GREAT experience for all involved, especially your players this Saturday and every game day thereafter.
Let's celebrate the joy of the game, promote sportspersonship together and have FUN!! Best regards and see you Saturday,
Neal
